Accessibility
Garvald Edinburgh is committed to ensuring it's website is accessible to all users. This page describes some methods that could be used to make this website easier for you to use.
We have tried to ensure that the whole website will conform to at least World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Double-A standard and have validated against the Bobby website accessibility software. However there may be some pages within the site that do not fully conform to both W3C and Bobby. We will continue our efforts to improve all the websites accessibility features. Please contact us with any feedback or suggestions regarding our website.
Changing How The Site Looks: Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are used throughout the website to control it's appearance. You can over-ride these styles if you prefer using standard features found in most popular browsers.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and 6 - Changing Text Size: From the menu bar at the top, select the 'View' menu then 'Text Size'. There are five choices, ranging from the smallest to the largest. Click on a font size from the options listed.
Over-ride Style Sheet: From the menu bar at the top, select the 'Tools' menu then 'Internet Options...'. On the 'General' tab use the 'Colors...', 'Fonts...' and 'Accessibility...' buttons to make the required changes.
Mozilla Firefox - Changing Text Size: From the menu bar at the top, select the 'View' menu then 'Text Size'. There are three choices - Increase, Decrease and Normal. Click on the required option.
Over-ride Style Sheet: You can specify that Firefox should ignore the default style sheets for the website by selecting 'View' from the menu bar at the top, then 'Page Style'. Click on the 'No Style' option.
If you want to implement your own website fonts and colours, select 'Tools' then 'Options...' from the menu bar at the top. Click on the 'Content' icon. Use the 'Fonts & Colors' section to make the required changes.
Text Only Mode A high visibility text only mode has been provided. This mode also has a simple text size change feature, allowing large, medium and small sizes to selected without having to make any browser changes.
