Q - How did Garvald get it's name?
A - The first Garvald started in 1944 as a school in Garvald House, West Linton. Garvald Edinburgh was started when one of the teachers opened the first community house in Edinburgh in 1969.

Q - Who was Rudolf Steiner?
A - He was an Austrian philosopher and educationalist who was born in 1861. He wrote or lectured on many subjects including agriculture, arts, medicine and social life. He died in 1925.
