Day Service Vacancies
Vacancies for Workshop Support Workers
(Salary scale £16,260 – £17,567 for full time)
Following on from the re-structuring of support worker posts in our day services, we are recruiting 6 workshop support staff.
Each post will be linked with an area of work, either food preparation (Gorgie Canteen, Bakery and Confectionery) or the work areas of tools renovation, joinery and woodwork.
Post-holders will take an active role in the production of quality crafts and foods while supporting members (our service users) to learn new skills and make a positive contribution.
Women are required for 2 posts where personal care is an essential part of the job.
Each post includes sessions where the postholder may be asked to provide cover in another part of the service.
Applicants can put themselves forward for as many posts as they feel they are qualified for. This must be clearly stated on the application form. Relevant skills, knowledge and experience will need to be demonstrated in the applicant’s supporting statement.
