2. Volunteer

Interested in volunteering? We would love to hear from you.

At Garvald, we are committed to meeting the unique needs of every individual member of our community. Volunteers, working alongside our permanent staff, can make a real difference, by giving more time to a member and increasing their range of contacts. This is a rewarding role, with an opportunity to refresh and develop your own skills. Experience of learning disabilities and/or arts, craft and catering skills is valuable, but not essential.

Please note: We are looking for volunteers who can make a regular commitment for an extended period as this provides continuity and consistency for service-users. We do not offer short term placements (i.e., less than six months). Volunteers should be at least 16 years of age. PVG Scheme Membership is essential if application is successful.

A regular monthly donation can help us ensure that our workshops are full equipped with all the materials – clay, wool, flour, paint – needed for our members to express their creativity and develop new skills.

Use the Payroll Giving Scheme
