A visit to the ‘Down to Earth’ Exhibition

Members of the Textiles Group at Mayfield House recently had the pleasure of visiting Down to Earth, an exhibition celebrating 30 years of the Columcille Centre in Edinburgh.

The exhibition brought together a wonderful collection of artworks created through a rich variety of techniques and materials. The group enjoyed taking time to explore the work, admire the creativity behind each piece, and discover the unique ways in which the artists expressed their ideas and imagination.

Columcille is a day support service in the Morningside area of Edinburgh. Its history and values are intertwined with those of Garvald Edinburgh, with both organisations influenced by the ideas and principles of Rudolf Steiner.

It was particularly special to see and celebrate the beautiful work of our colleagues. The visit was a lovely reminder of how art can connect us — through creativity, shared values and the joy of making.
