Celebrating Pride at Orwell Arts

Last week, Orwell Arts hosted a (slightly belated) Pride celebration, full of dancing and sunshine.

Members from the Media Workshop had gathered song requests from around the building to create a truly impeccable playlist. 80s pop classics, Disney anthems and German techno alike all got people up and moving, even inspiring an impromptu breakdancing competition at one point!

Pride is an important celebration for us at Garvald. Not only is it a chance to celebrate our LGBTQ+ members and staff, but it is also an opportunity for us to remember that inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. Our whole reason for being is to create and maintain a community where everyone feels valued, respected and celebrated for who they are.
