Garvald does Wimbledon

Garvald is home to quite a few tennis enthusiasts, lamenting the end of Wimbledon. So, motivated by the sunshine (and the promise of strawberries and cream), Orwell Arts took a trip to the Meadows tennis courts.

The group learned how to grip and swing a tennis racket, and then got started on a rally or two! Afterwards, everyone gathered on the grass for a shady picnic.

We had our eyes peeled for Andy Murray, but alas, he did not make an appearance.
