Garvald Edinburgh at the Vegetarian For Life Awards

In October, Garvald Edinburgh attended an awards ceremony at Vegetarian For Life. The ceremony took place at the Houses of Parliament and was presented by Heather Mills, Peter Egan and Paul Higgins. The awards celebrate excellence in vegetarian catering in care settings. This work is important to ensure people can be nourished by food that aligns with their values and choices, no matter where they live or who they are supported by.

Nico, a Garvald member from the Waterside canteen, says, “Going to the awards ceremony made me feel important. I felt confident and super proud of my work in the canteen. It was great to see London as well. My family went in the ‘80s, but I wasn’t born yet so I missed out! I liked exploring the Harry Potter shops and seeing Platform 9 and 3/4.”
