Meet the Bakers

Last week, the Garvald Makers shop hosted its first ‘Meet the Bakers’ event. A group of Bakers from Gorgie Workshops presented a taster session, giving the public the chance to try a range of delicious breads.

The Garvald Bakers make a beautiful range of healthy, organic breads including sourdoughs and award winning walnut loaves. The breads were paired with some special cheeses from our neighbour Mellis Cheese, along with a selection of different olive oils, vinegars and salts.

The event was an invitation to experience Garvald bread and to meet the talented people who make it all happen. It was also a chance to remind people that the Garvald Makers shop sells fresh Garvald bread, as many people didn’t know!

The day was a great success. The shop sold out of all the breads and had lots of positive, enthusiastic feedback from members of the public who attended the event.
